Well, I decided to make a character sheet for my new just-because characters!

If you like the pouch design, feel free to use it.

As to use I think her breed would do well in starwarsw. What are the males built like, a relitive comparison as to her to a anthro?

What a cute character, and a lovely back story to go with them. I love the design you did for her.

My favorite part? You got roo feet correct, something a lot of people tend to overlook X3

I love these two, and very interesting pouch design... I always have problems with anthro/mutant/magic whatever human/kangaroo things, namely the tail and the pouch, as they both get in the way of the anus/vulva/cloaca/warp zone and cause a syntax error XD

a girl called Adrian... when I saw the thumbnail I thought the kid was Adrian and the Mum was Ali, as in Alison

but regardless, good character with a nice backstory. She does look a badass with that hair too. The backstory complements her design. well done!

Really neat characters; they look terrific and the backstory is good ^_^ I like the concept of the pouch, with it being attached to the legs. It really makes carrying a joey more plausible when a tiny portion of the stomach isn't having to hold everything at once.

"Yes I know she's a marsupial, but it makes sense, trust me"

I'm afraid you've made me terribly curious to hear the explanation.

At any rate, great character design and model sheet! :)

Okay here is what I was told by Goldfur: "This is the way that I have always imagined a roo morph should work. They could still give birth to an immature foetus that would develop in the pouch, but unlike a wild kangaroo, a morph would outgrow the pouch before being ready for the world, so they'd still be breast fed like regular morphs."

I would agree with Goldfur, but they wouldn't be that immature like they are in real life, more like if a human baby was premature. Much more developed but still has some ways to go.

yeah, that makes sense. Either way I think having breasts like a human female works best for this character design, since overall she's more anthropomorphic than animal-like. It's kind of the same thing with designs like anthropomorphic dragon characters, even if it may or may not technically make sense, I think it looks better in terms of sexual dimorphism in order to more quickly distinguish a female character from a male.

I think in general that anthropomorphism means the merging of human and animal forms, even if they're not technically accurate. As far as biologically accurate goes, well, it's very difficult to say what is potentially accurate, so I've always figured that as long as you could justify certain design decisions, it should be fine. Technically the creature is not a true marsupial, but she isn't really supposed to be, she's supposed to be a human stand-in with some marsupial qualities placed on top of her.

This is a large part of why there's a furry/sci-fi divide, as sci-fi will definitely want technical justifications for species design (as in, an anthro kangaroo must look exactly like a regular kangaroo but more upright and with a smaller tail) while furry will tend to ignore this in favor of just having something anthropocentrically appealing.

yeah, all of my anthro character designs are still basically human characters, but with a few animal features thrown on top of them, mainly in terms of an animal head and tail, and more fully covered in fur, but other than that, still basically a human.

I know the third image is just without the tail, but that sort of pic always makes me think the character had some horrible accident. >_<
