I didn’t bring this up with the previous pic, but one of the reasons that I decided to give West the power to change material form is probably due in part to my frustration with the limitations of a biological body. It sometimes doesn’t even seem real that there’s a complex mechanism inside of us, like we should be made of simpler materials that don’t break down and don’t have seemingly arbitrary requirements to keep them going.
To me that’s kinda part of the furry experience though; the looks are one thing, but the odd semi-persistent belief that a brand new body would make everything feel better is comforting. (I’ve seen this, specifically alternate-material-bodies, referred to as post-furry but I’m PRETTY certain that strict sci-fi biology rulesets never factored into animal people fantasies at all so it’s kinda strange to call it post-anything.)
In any case, imagining West carrying on his(/her) business with a different kind of body altogether is fun for me. Even just doing little mundane things like driving and going shopping would be fun if you could be one hundred percent secure your body is gonna support you and feel how it ought to feel.
